Islamic Relief tackles the root causes of poverty and makes sure that the world’s most at risk people have a strong voice and real influence in both their programs and advocacy. Islamic Relief is also a policy leader on Islamic humanitarianism, and its research programs develop distinctive, practical approaches to the key issues that are affecting our world today.

Ms. Neelam Fida

Neelam has over 17 years of experience working in the humanitarian sector. In her current capacity, she is strategically driving innovative approaches and systems to generate new evidence which supports and influences IRW’s global operations. Her department is responsible for developing technical capacity of country office programme teams to implement, measure and ensure ongoing improved quality of programmes. She has also been responsible for implementing faith-inspired projects and programmes for child protection to better understand and contextualise IRW’s work. In addition, she has responsible for developing and taking forward IRW’s safeguarding framework and strategy.

Neelam has a background in psychology, research, mentoring, Islamic counselling, social behaviors network therapy, organizational development, strategic planning, change management and PSEA investigator.
